For the next several levels, you will almost exclusively be adding to strength

Now, walk about a bit, you should see 2 types of monsters, spiders and budge dragons. STAY AWAY from the budge dragons! They're too tough for you right now, and will be for a couple more FFXIV Gold levels. Concentrate on the spiders. After you've killed about 20 spiders, you should see your level rise to 2.

CONGRATULATIONS!! You're now a level 2 DK. Find a spot without any monsters (or go to town if necessary), and click "C". Add all 5 points to strength. For the next several levels, you will almost exclusively be adding to strength.

Keep doing so until you meet the requirements for all of the leather items the peddler sells (level 4 for everything except armour, level 5 for the armour - needs 44 strength).

By level 5, you should now have a bit of gold, and have found a few small shield/leather or weapons (drops are random, but you will probably get something every 10-20 spiders you kill).

You can now take out budge dragons, and can start thinking about bull warriors. Depending on the equipment you wish to use, raise your stats accordingly (a kris will take agility, while armours/shields will take strength) until you can use a decent set of bronze armour (but don't buy any unless it's REALLY cheap).
